As a native of Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District , I am shocked and saddened today of the news of Dr. Trager’s passing from an apparent suicide. Dr. Trager was considered one of three serious challengers to Congressman Steve Kagen in a crowded GOP primary in the 8th District. Trager was a voice for limited government and conservative values in which his candidacy was cut short two weeks ago by announcing he would drop out of the race due to health issues.
I extend my thoughts and prayers to the Trager Family. In addition, I also extend my thoughts and prayers to conservative activists who are affected by his passing. I hope that these activists will come together to elect the best candidate in the September 14th primary that will deliver victory this November.
