Tim Phillips, the President of Americans for Prosperity, opened up the Defending the American Dream Summit to a raucous crowd of 2,400 in the main ballroom of the Washington Marriott Wardman Park.
During his speech, Phillips mentioned recent encounters with grassroots activists in Wisconsin during the recent spending revolt tour. One mention was a farmer in Hudson who told Phillips his concerns over the death tax.
Also, Phillips mentioned about the November is Coming campaign. The President said it is time to hold accountable politicians who vote for big government policies. The crowd applauded for a full-repeal of the health care law or de-funding it in sections.
Phillips encouraged activists even if conservatives win, it is up activists to hold them accountable in 2011.
